Welcome to our final Stamptastic Friends blog hop of 2025 and our theme is using a colour combination for our cardmaking. I will share how to create a teenager birthday card using just green, yellow and blue. I reached straight for my colour wheel to help me decide on my colour choices. Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist and Lemon Lolly.

Creating simple cards is definitely my go to style for card making and this card is all about that ! My card base is made from Lemon Lolly cardstock and measures 14.8cm by 21cm and is scored at 10.5cm on the long side. The front and inside card layers measure 14.4cm by 10cm.

Stamping steps for my teenager birthday card

First I started by stamping three of the circle swirls across the middle of the card in Lemon Lolly.

Next, I stamped the stars in the middle of each circle in Azure Afternoon and changed the angle of each star row. Then I stamped the “ink splatters” in lemon lime twist alternating between the top and bottom of the circles. Can you see how you could make this card could really easily be made with 3 different colours? Perhaps the teenager has their own favourite colour combination.

The final step was to add the greeting which I did using heat embossing white powder on black cardstock.

Thank you for joining me today and do check out what the other ladies have created using the colour combination theme. Let me know in the comments what 3 colours you would pick.

Inky hugs, Carrie x
