Hello and welcome to our first Friends of SUBA blog hop and it’s all about Easter craft inspiration.
My name is Carrie and I am based in a village near Newark which is between Nottingham and Lincoln. I am at the start of today’s hop or you may have just joined me from Caroline at Craft with Caro. There is a list of everyone and their blog links at the end of my post.
Who are the friends of SUBA?
We all met on the recent training event offered by the Simply Unique Business Angels aka the fabulous Louise Sims and Pip Todman.
Pip and Louise both have immense knowledge and experience within the IT industry and are successful Stampin’ Up! demonstrators too. They are now offering a variety of courses covering subjects such as blogging, newsletters, social media posting and more.
I had so much fun over the two days and learnt even more than I hoped and felt brave enough to start blogging. So let’s get started with my Easter craft inspiration……
Hello Easter stamp set by Stampin’ Up
I fell in love with the little bunny straight away in this set and I adore the “Happy Easter” font.
Inky Nook Easter Craft Inspiration
I will be using the above projects for our family Easter gifts. I can remember as a child being so excited about our Easter celebrations and I’m sure the eggs have got smaller over the years ! My Easter inspiration includes a card, cellophane gift bag, carrot shaped gift packaging and a cute little gift box.
Happy Easter Card
I have created a fresh and simple card using just three colours: Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand. I used the leaves stamp to build up a wreath double stamping as I went along. Then using the bigger pansy I stamped with Daffodil Delight followed by the little crosses in Sahara Sand. I used the same pansy stamp on the yellow circle cut out with the detailed stitched framelits. Next the little rabbit was stamped in Sahara Sand and then I cut him out.
Easter treats bag
Next was the little cellophane bag which I filled with a little “rabbit” egg decoration and some rabbit chocolates sat on a little bed of grass. I took some lemon lime twist to edge the stamped sentiment and then coloured a delicate doily with the light Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Blend and stuck behind the sentiment. These would be a great gift for a niece or nephew as an alternative to a big egg.
Easter Gift Box
The box could easily hold some note cards and envelopes or a gift voucher and some Easter shaped treats ! I kept a similar design to the card so that they could be gifted together. You could easily re-create this at home too and I’d be happy to share the box instructions if you get in touch.
I placed three little enamel heart shapes around the rabbit frame to just finish the box off.
I hope I might have inspired you to create some fabulous Easter projects over the next couple of weeks. I’d love to hear your comments below and let me know if there is anything you might like to see in the future.
Thank you so much for joining me today and it’s time for you to hop over to Mikaela at the Crafty oINK Pen and I know you are going to adore her creations.
Inky hugs,
Carrie x
