Hello to you from The Inky Nook this evening !
I am now on my third version of this blog post as I just don’t seem to be able to get my thoughts onto paper tonight. I know the problem is that I’ve not been as organised as I would like and it’s ended up last minute rush. Please tell me this happens to you or let me know your secrets to finding enough time….
What is Memories & More?
I couldn’t have described it better myself ! I hold a monthly Memories & More event and you can see the upcoming dates here The Inky Nook Memories & More event dates. My last session was on Friday evening and we had a lovely chat with a cuppa and some chocolates. I also got round to recording my 40th birthday celebrations with my girlfriends and the Sweet Soiree Memories & More kit co-ordinates perfectly with this occasion.
Sweet Soiree Memories & More
See the Sweet Soiree selection here to give you an overview of the cards available. This sweet little set is adorable and I’m so pleased it arrived in time for Friday’s event. I want to share my scrapbook pages that I created along with a couple of cards to show this set’s versatility.
Sweet Soiree meets scrap booking
For my fortieth birthday celebrations I went with 5 of my gin-loving friends to London. We had a fabulous time and started with some bubbles on the train.
I picked The Ivy Brasserie Kensington for lunch and tasted the most amazing lemon meringue tart filled with ice cream….
We finished off the day at The Ginstitute and it was the perfect experience. We heard about the history of gin whilst drinking several gin cocktails just to make sure we like gin.
In the distillery rooms we tasted botanicals before creating our own bespoke gin recipe list. Finally it was a quick drink in the St Pancras hotel bar before heading home for a good night’s sleep.
Sweet Soiree meets card making
The set is perfect for making cards with and I’m hoping the next couple of cards might convince you too.
The first card uses a Night of Navy cardstock base along with two small Sweet Soiree cards as layers. This iss topped with a Sweet Soiree sentiment teamed with washi tape and rhinstone jewels.
The second card is a Berry Burst base with a small Sweet Soiree card tucked behind the larger Sweet Soiree floral card. Using a circle from the detailed stitched framelits I cut out the “hello” sentiment and the silver glimmer card to frame it. I finished the card off with some rhinestone jewels and glitter enamel dots to add a little sparkle.
Are you ready to order the Sweet Soiree Memories and More set in your life? I’d love to hear your comments below and I will be back with another post next week.
Inky hugs,
Carrie xx
