Welcome to this month’s hop where we are sharing our inspiration for the delightful Spring colour combo below. We are a group of friends who met on the amazing IT/blog training from the Simply Unique Business Angels (“SUBA”). It is is run by Pip and Louise and you can find out more about what they do just click here . You may have just joined me from Caro or be starting here with me, either way hello and welcome.
I picked the colour combination for this month below and I hope my SUBA friends have enjoyed the challenge…..
Spring colour combo
Dreaming of Spring colours as the snowdrops and crocuses are starting to flower in our garden. Are you ready for your garden and surroundings to burst back into life again? I have designed 3 projects to share with you ranging from #simplestamping to the more experienced crafter using the Spring colour combo. They all have a birthday theme as I think that is the event we send most cards for – would you agree?
#simplestamping birthday card
This card uses just stamps, ink and card and is perfect when you need a quick and easy card or perhaps just starting out in card making. You can earn the Hello Cupcake stamp set for free on an order of £45 or more.
Casual crafting birthday card
This next card is ideal for when you have little more time and experience on your hands.
For this design I took a petal pink card base topped with a whisper white card layer. I’ve stamped a flower stream diagonally across the whisper white layer. On a separate piece of whisper white card I stamped the cupcake case and icing in different colours. Next I fussy cut the layers out and popped them onto the whisper white layer using stampin’ dimensionals. Finally I stamped the sentiment with Garden Green ink and my Spring colour combo is complete.
Tropical Chic and the Spring colour combo
This is my wow card for the more experienced card maker to try and re-create.
The stamps in the Tropical Chic set are perfect for creating your own designer series paper background like I have done here. I added an extra card layer to act as a frame to the designer series layer and stamped the sentiment onto a spare piece of card. Using the stitched labels framelits to cut out the sentiment and another circle frame on So Saffron card followed by a little. The final touch was a little Garden Green circle and So Saffron heart using the same framelits.
Which one is your favourite? Let me know below in the comments.
