Good evening and welcome to this month’s animal themed friends of SUBA blog hop. Have you been enjoying the I am eternally gratefully for the great training I received from the Simply Unique Business Angels and the friends I made on the course. The training is run by the fabulous Louise Sims and Pip Todman and you can find out what they currently have on offer here
.Animal inspired crafting
We all pitched in ideas at the start of the year as to what monthly themes we might like and this was one of Ginny’s choices. Today I’m using a set named Animal Outing and I used this in our September blog hop to create a “snakes and ladders” game.
If you want to see how to create it then you can see the original post here.
Animal Outing Welcome Baby
My cousin has had a baby and I’m sharing the card I made to welcome her little girl. They don’t live just around the corner so I have not managed to get any baby cuddles in yet !
I selected Petal Pink and So Saffron as the main colours for the card along with a white card layer. Next, I stamped two of the hearts from the Meant to Be stamp set randomly over the whisper white layer. Then I popped a few on the inside layer to tie in the theme.
Next I stamped the mama and baby in and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends followed by die cutting them out. I used the layering circles and framelits and popped a scalloped petal pink frame behind. This was followed by die cutting four hearts and placing two at the front and two behind. I also took a piece of the polka dot tulle ribbon and folded this behind the main image.
The final step was to stamp the sentiment using Versa Mark and then heat emboss with white powder onto smoky slate card.
Time to say goodbye
Thank you so much for joining me and I hope I’ve inspired you to use the Animal Outing set. What is your favourite element of this card: is it the colour combination, background layer, the mama and baby, the embossed sentiment ? Drop me a comment below and tell me why.
Now let’s see what the other ladies have created for you by using the blog hop list below. I will also add a list o the products I’ve used after the blog list.
Inky hugs,
Carrie
I just love this stamp set as it is so versatile. The snakes and ladders idea is something I will take away and use myself. I love how you have used the kangaroo stamp for a baby card. Believe it or not this is something I have not thought about.
The snakes and ladders could be used with so many of our sets – I suspect the new dinosaur product suite could be fun for this !

Both projects are darling. I need to try creating a game board.
You absolutely must Ginny – it was so such fun to do !
