Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends blog hop where we are sharing some simple stamping tips and techniques. We all have different crafting styles so you will get to see some great inspiration using our favourite products from our demo pre orders. As demonstrators we get to order new products a month in advance of our customers which is a great perk for me !
Simple Stamping
Simple stamping is perfect whether you are a beginner or perhaps in a need of a quick card for that occasion that has suddenly crept on you…. One of my favourite new stamp sets is Lovely You as pictured below.
The first card I want to share with you just uses these stamps and 2 ink pads. It is simple stamping in its simplest form. I stamped the three flowers in Petal Pink and then interspersed with the small flower heads stamped in So Saffron. Finishing off the card with a sentiment to let a friend know how much I appreciate them.
Stepping this up another level, you could introduce further colours to create the background stamping. Next stamp the sentiment on to a piece of coloured cardstock and use the Lovely Labels pick a punch to make it a pretty label. On this card I’ve used the colours Soft Sea Foam, Seaside Spray and So Saffron.
Stepping it up
The final simple stamping card I want to share with you introduces a coloured cardstock base with a mounted cardstock layer rather than just a plain cardstock base. You can also introduce ribbon to add a little wow to your project and I have used the vanilla open weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim combo pack.
So have you enjoyed my simple stamping ideas today? Do you enjoy making quick and easy cards or just not sure where to start and now feel inspired? I’d love to here your comments below and please pop by and see what the other ladies have to share with us today. I know they would love your support too and I shall be back again with them all again next month.
Inky hugs,
Carrie xx
