Hello, it’s Carrie here and thanks for joining us today. I’m excited to share my autumn crafts alongside my Stamptastic Friends with you today. I love to craft, drink gin with friends and spend time with my family but if you would like to know a little more visit here.
Well what a week it’s been here at The Inky Nook ! My daughter and I have both had high temperatures along with other symptoms so we’ve all been self isolating as per Government guidelines. I managed my weekly facebook live on Wednesday evening which was where luckily I made today’s project. My Crafty Cuppa ladies were so kind about me having to cancel this week’s class at short notice. Thankfully we’ve been able to go for a COVID test yesterday at a drive through site so within a few days we will know either way. I would sooner keep us shut away and not be a risk to anyone else even if it does turn out to be negative. Anyway back to autumn…..
Autumn starts…..
This season always starts for me when the damsons on our fruit tress are ripe for picking and the children return to school. That seems to be the time I notice the leaves turning into those beautiful orange, rusty brown and red colours. Before I know it I’m planning roast dinners, fruit crumbles and enjoying cosy evenings with my family by the fire !
Peace & Joy bundle alternative uses
The Peace & Joy bundle saves you 10% as you are buying the stamp set and dies together. Even without the dies, the stamp set alone could be used for multiple Christmas cards and easily co-ordinates with other seasonal stamps. Additionally, the stamped images are easily fussy cut but I do love that the dies make my crafting quicker. I wanted to show you how you can use it elsewhere in your crafting so I hope you like what I have created today.
How to create my autumn card – step by step
To start with the card base is half a sheet of A4 cardstock meaasuring approximately 14.9cm by 21cm and scored at 10.5cm. You will also need a whisper white layer measuring 13.9cm by 9.5cm as this gives a nice pumpkin pie edge to frame the layer. Begin by stamping the fir type branch with Cinammon Cider ink followed by the eaucalyptus style branch in Bumblebee. Now you will need to ink up the branch with leaves in Pumpkin Pie then stamp some Rich Razzleberry berries. Pear Pizzazz was used to stamp the three little sprigs that look like birthday candles in any spaces that were left.
I die cut a Pumpkin Pie stitched shapes circle and positioned a strip of Bumblebee 1/4″ ribbon behind the circle to frame it. Next I die cut the ‘Joy’ label using the word and supporting background die as this just frames the word itself. I glued this to the stitched shapes circle which was then stuck to the card layer with dimensionals.
Thanks for joining me today
I think this design would be sweet to re-create a handmade gift box or bag with matching tag – don’t you? Let me know what colours represent Autumn for you?
It’s time for you to hop over and see what Cheryl has created for you today and I’d love a little comment or two below if you’ve got the time before you leave me !

Lovely project, Carrie! I love the fact it is autumnal but bright at the same time!
Thanks Helen – I think there is the risk that people think of dull colours for Autumn as the nights start to draw in in the UK. But it is a season for celebrating some beautiful colours !
Inky hugs xx
