I am celebrating World Cardmaking Day by heading into my craft room and getting creative. I am hosting two live demonstrations over on my Facebook page. At the same time, I encourage you to get crafty during the day and share your creations with me.
Flowers for every season designer series paper
You can re-create my card in colours of your choice and you could switch the DSP. My Magenta Madness card base measures 14.9cm by 21cm (scored at 10.5cm) which is basically half a sheet of A4 cardstock. Next choose a piece of designer series paper and cut this to 14.4cm by 10cm making sure your pattern is in the right direction because it will sit in portrait mode. Cut a strip of your coloured card measuring 10cm by 2.5cm as this will frame your sentiment label. Stamp your sentiment onto a strip of white card which you will glue to your coloured strip. Finally add some twine or thread wound in a circle like I did to the back of the sentiment banner. Stick the banner on using Stampin Dimensionals and you have your finished card. To complete the inside of the card simply add a white layer measuring the same size as the DSP you cut earlier.

Life is Beautiful
I adore this photopolymer set from the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue as its perfect for this time of year. The card base here is Crushed Curry and uses the same measurements as the card above. Next cut a whisper white layer which was 13.9cm by 9.5cm and stamped the tree trunk in Early Expresso. Then you need to stamp on your falling Autumn leaves and I selected 3 colours for my leaves. My colours are Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze. To create the colour transition I inked up the ‘leaf’ stamp with all three colours so I could stamp just once. Firstly I inked one edge with Crushed Curry, inked the middle of the stamp with Pumpkin Pie and finally the remaining edge with Cajun Craze. I repeated this three times to create the tree canopy. Finally, finishing off with one final stamp at the bottom of the tree trunk to show the fallen leaves.

Perfectly Paid card
The final card for World Cardmaking Day uses the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and co-ordinating tree punch. I want to create an autumn theme so my colour combination is Bumblebee, Just Jade and Terracotta Tile. FIrstly, I stamped the tartan tree stamp in each colour. Secondly you will need an extra tree stamped in Bumblebee onto a spare piece of white cardstock because this will add an extra dimension to your card. Thirdly, taking the tree punch I punched out this extra tree and stuck this to the card with stampin’ dimensionals. Furthermore I added a sentiment banner and punched the edge with the Lovely Labels pick a punch.
