Tech 4 stampers academy blog hop header with a background of a laptop and cup of coffee and stampin' up mini catalgoue

Welcome to The Inky Nook if you are joining me from Sandra’s blog or just starting with me. This is the first Tech 4 Stampers blog hop and we are all at different points in our blogging journey. So for some this is their first ever blog post ! There are a few of us joining in and this month’s theme is ‘welcome’. We welcome people into our lives for many different reasons such as giving birth/adoption, new neighbours and team members. I am sharing an adorable welcome baby card and gift bag to welcome a little one to a family.

Welcome baby gift bag

I started off by creating a cute gift tag to accessorise this little white bag for a present. One of my favourite things to do is keeping a stock of different sized white/ kraft gift bags. This way you can personalise the gift bag for the recipient so easily. To start with I cut two rectangles from mint macaron and very vanilla cardstock. Next I stamped the images and punched them out using the Oval Occasions bundle. These were glued to the ready made tag and today I have used the Stampin’ Markers to ink my stamps with instead of an ink pad.

Welcome baby card

Now to share the cute welcome baby card in the same colour combination as above. I stamped the sentiment label in the same way as the gift tag. I embossed the bottom third of the vanilla card layer using some retired mini embossing folders but you could use whatever patterns you already have. The gingham ribbon behind the sentiment label just finishes off the edge between the embossed and non embossed sections. This is such a quick and easy design that you could recreate with the other stamps in the Oval Occasions stamp set and switch out the ribbon.

Time to hop on

Now it has come to the time for you to hop on and see what everyone else has created for this welcome theme. Thank you for joining me today and let me know who you might be welcoming soon. We have new neighbours coming across the road so I will be making them a welcome card when they move in.
