As a demonstrator I am always excited to see new In Colours from Stampin’ Up! and the new 2021-23 in colours are no exception. They are 5 new colours to add to the 40 plus colours already in the Stampin’ Up! colour collection. As they are from the new annual catalgoue due to be released on 4 May 2021 I can not give you any links to view them on my website. Once the catalogue goes live I will certainly add them back into this post for you.
The In Colours are: Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Fresh Fresia, Evening Evergreen and Pale Papaya. As with all Stampin’ Up! colours they sound good enough to eat !
Soft Succulent ‘just because’ card
This card is so effortlessly simple to create by stamping on and off with ink in a darker tone to the card base colour. In case you were wondering I am using the beautiful Lovely You cling stamp set. I love the soft subtle tone of the Soft Succulent card base here topped with the Evening Evergreen sentiment label. To create the sentiment label stamp ‘just because’ onto a strip of white cardstock. Next cut a strip of Evening Evergreen cardstock slightly wider than your white strip and glue the two pieces together. My label is then stuck to the card base with dimensionals.
The card base measures 10.5cm by 29.8cm and scored in the middle at 14.85cm which is an A4 sheet cut in half in landscape.
‘Smile’ card using the new 2021-23 in colours
Today’s post would seem incomplete without creating a card that uses all the new in colours. The card base is made from a half a sheet of A4 cardstock cut in portrait and scored in the middle. The Polished Pink frame behind the white card layer measures 13.9cm by 10cm. The white layer on top is 5mm smaller on each measurement at 13.5cm by 9.5cm. I am using the same stamp set as the first card and then used each in colour to create a snapshot of wildflowers along the bottom. The ‘smile’ sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen offset to the right above the wildflowers.
If you would like to see some more In Colour inspired projects I have a great mini album on my blog using last year’s colours.
So I would love to know which of the 2021-23 new in colours is your favourite in the comments below. If you don’t want to miss out on my posts then you can subscribe to my blog. Until next time….
