Welcome to the Tech 4 Stampers Academy blog hop and this month’s theme is holidays. My inspiration today is a Christmas fun fold card that I made a pdf tutorial for in a recent swap with some other demonstrators. I am going to be including the free pdf tutorial at the bottom of this blog post.
Sale-a-bration time
Each year Stampin’ Up! hosts 2 Sale-a-bration (SAB) events and we are now in the second period for this year (3rd August to 30 September 2021). For every £45 you spend when you place an order you get to pick a free SAB product. You can download the sale-a-bration brochure during these dates and see which ones you LOVE.
One of my favourite SAB items is the adorable Penguin Playmates designer series paper, see above. These papers co-ordinate with the Penguin Place stamp set and Penguin Builder punch, which are available as a bundle with 10% off. You can make the best Christmas cards to send friends and family or perhaps send to a local care home.
Which sheet of designer series paper should I pick for my Christmas fun fold card ?
The hardest bit will be picking which papers you want to use or just make lots of these cards to use it up !! The colours are wide ranging in these papers too so you can pick and mix the cardstock you use with them. I opted for Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam. I love how this card folds in on itself to become a perfect small square.
For the front I picked a different sheet of designer series paper and added a sentiment for a birthday card. I added retired Blackberry Bliss ribbon to hold the Christmas fun fold card together for popping in an envelope. You could choose an alternative ribbon or maybe use some twine thread or mini magnets to close it.
You can download the free Christmas fun fold card pdf tutorial here and email me if you have any questions. Now hop on and see what everyone else has in store to share today. Before you leave I’d appreciate it if you could leave a comment to say if you enjoyed today’s project.
PS You can see some more fun fold card ideas on my previous blog posts.
