Prepped and ready to start crafting

Hello and welcome to The Inky Nook with Carrie ! If this is the first time you’ve joined me I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator since 2014 and I love to send cards and scrapbook. I am a mum to two teenagers, wife and part time accountant so I understand how busy life can be. Find out more about me here. Now let me tell you all about the share sunshine download…..

Share Sunshine

Stampin’ Up! have brought out the Share Sunshine download which contains some great little quotes which sum up life in lockdown whilst the world battles corona virus. I joined our CEO, Sara Douglass, when she went live on her Facebook page to share what her and her family were creating on Stampin’ Up! ‘s annual day of service. All the proceeds from the download are being donated to the WHO and the UWW COVID response funds.

I have made several cards to send out to friends and family and used up some of my retiring Birthday Bonanza designer series paper (DSP). No stamps are required to make these cards if you just use the download sentiments and some pieces of DSP. We’ve made it easy as you just need to cut out the sentiments and DSP.

You can get so many pieces out of one sheet of DSP measuring 12 inches by 12 inches. Cut 2 strips measuring 5 inches and then rotate the strip and cut out 3 pieces measuring 3.75 inches which will leave with a small strip measuring 0.75 inches. Repeat this for the second 5 inch strip. The final long strip (2 inches wide) should be rotated and cut at 3 inch intervals.

Now you just need to pick your DSP pieces and layer them on your card bases and add your sentiment labels. My favourite is the “quarantini” drink.
