For my weekly facebook live session on Wednesday I decided to use a couple of card sketches I found on Pinterest for inspiration. If you want to start joining me from next week, I do this every Wednesday at 8pm and it’s always nice to have people chatting in the comments as I go along. Today, I am sharing the first card I made and will follow up with another post next week to share the second card.

The link in the card sketch above takes you to my card sketches Pinterest board so you can access the link to Julee’s original post. My card base measure 29.8 cm by 10.5cm scored at 14.9cm and I decided to use the 2020-22 In Colour designer series paper for the layers on this card.

Firstly you need to select your DSP pieces and trimming them to size using the above measurements. The banner ends were created with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

How to create the sentiment label

Firstly, I stamped the “wording” in Magenta Madness onto an offcut of Whisper White cardstock. I punched this out using the Label Me Lovely punch. Next I stamped the same “wording” onto another piece of cardstock using Just Jade. “Day” was fussy cut by hand using my trusty scissor snips and stuck on top of the original “Day” wording with mini stampin dimensionals. Notice how I switched the circle for the label punch instead.

Final steps

Finally I assembled all the layers to complete the card and I’m so happy with the result. I used Stampin Seal adhesive and Stampin, dimensionals to layer up the card.
