Stamptastic Friends blog hop wording in blue and pink font

It’s time for me and my Stamptastic Friends to hop together and our chosen theme is a box frame. I know we are going to have a whole bunch of brilliant ideas to inspire you with.

Merry & Bright home decor frame

The Peace and Joy stamp set and co-ordinating dies are my absolute favourite bundle in the August-December 2020 mini catalogue. I made a card a few weeks back in my weekly Wednesday evening live using the bundle and that is my inspiration for today’s frame.

Step 1 – pick your colours and frame size

My frame is from Ikea and the inside measurement is 23cm x 23cm approximately. The colours I picked are Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive,

Step 2 – create a wreath template

I drew a circle very lightly around a candle holder that I have to create a template for my wreath. This acts as a guide for you as you start to stamp and build up the wreath.

Step 3 – start stamping the wreath

The next step is to begin creating the wreath using the foliage stamps. I would recommend that you start stamping in the lighter colours before progressing onto the darker colours. Take your first stamp and evenly stamp around the wreath with the foliage stamps until you’ve stamped with each one. Next fill in any spare gaps I did this with the foliage in mint macaron. I finished off the wreath by adding in the holly sprigs and berries.

Step 4 – ‘Merry & Bright’

The ‘Merry’ and ‘&’ were die cut using the Playful Alphabet dies using Real Red cardstock mounted on foam adhesive sheets. Finishing off with the ‘Bright’ using all of the Joy dies using Real Red, Whisper White and Mint Macaron cardstock. I added the big ribbon bow with glue dots and then mounted the picture onto a red card layer. Now it’s time to mount the completed picture into your box frame.
