Stamptastic Friends blog hop wording in blue and pink font

So we all love making Christmas cards don’t we? Yes Carrie we do ! Today’s hop with my Stamptastic Friends is Christmas with a twist by using non traditional colours. You may have just joined me from Cheryl or be starting the hop with me but I’d like to thank you for joining us today.

Three trees in a row

Now I’ve used Blackberry Bliss and Coastal Cobana on my first card to keep things simple. There is a Blackberry Bliss card base with a Coastal Cabana layer to frame the whisper white layer on top. I have stamped three tress in a row starting with the middle tree so I could equally space the other trees.

This was followed up by stamping the mini snowflakes in Blackberry Bliss. I added a basic rhinestone to the middle tree as if it were the angel or star at the top. Which goes at the top of your tree?

The top layer was finished off by wrapping some twine thread round twice and then tying off in a bow.

Creating your own designer series paper background

This is a lovely way to start making your own backgrounds whether you are just starting to craft or when you need a quick and simple card. First of all stamp the big tree in Blackberry Bliss randomly across the white layer followed by the smaller tree in Misty Moonlight. I chose to add the little wreaths in Coastal Cobana to fill in but you could leave it without them.

The final step was to add the sentiment banner with a little banner frame behind it. I couldn’t resist adding a little rhinestone to become the dot on the ‘i’. Now let me know below if you like my choice of non traditional Christmas colours or which ones you might use instead?

When you are ready please ‘hop’ on and see what the other fabulous Stamptastic Friends have created for you today. Until next time…
