Hi there and welcome to The Inky Nook with me, Carrie. I am joining in with the Global Design Project #278 sketch challenge this week. The GDP card sketch challenge always looks fun but this is the first time of sharing on my blog.

global design project logo (world globe with a green heart inside) and the card sketch picture to create your own card from. The sketch is a horizontal card base with strips across the middle section, topped with a circle and a small banner greeting on a diagonal.

The Flower & Field designer series paper was right in front of me on my craft desk. It was left out after my weekend of crafting on Facebook but it is perfect for this card. My paper trimmer came in handy to cut four strips of designer series paper which measure approximately 14cm by 1.3cm. Next, to keep the card simple I am using a thick white cardstock base which is an A4 sheet cut in half. Then I glued the strips across the middle but angled them all slightly so they were not in a perfect straight line.

Finally, I am adding a gold hoop to sit in the centre which is stuck to the card with multipurpose liquid glue.

My GDP card sketch challenge entry

Are you excited to see my entry? Yes just get on with it Carrie !!

Yellow card in a horizontal layout with a white layer on top. This white layer has 4 strips of paper across the middle which are about 1.3cm thick. The strips are a mix of floral, spotty and stripy papers in pink, black , green and yellow. There are some little pink hearts stamped at the top and the bottom of the strips. This is finished off with a thin gold circle placed in the middle of the card and a little sentiment banner, "sweet friend"

Please do go back to the Global Design Project post and see what other entries there are. It would be great if you could leave me a comment to let me know what you think. Please come back and join me again as I do blog every week.
