Hi ! Welcome to the February Stamptastic Friends blog hop where our theme is to make a card or similar using the gorgeous colour combination below. I have a quick and easy birthday card that I designed for my Crafty Cuppa class to make this week using these colours.

An image showing 3 different colour hearts which are being used to make a quick and easy birthday card. The hearts are a deep pink, a mid blue-green and a dark blue-green

Basically, the card uses the same kit: one coloured cardstock base (14.9cm by 21cm scored at 10.5cm) and two white card layers (each 14.4cm by 10cm). The stamp set is Days to Remember and I think people naturally think of it as a scrapbooking stamp set but I hope my quick and easy birthday card changes your mind. Are you ready to see how you can make it too?

Quick and easy birthday card

The stamping on the card layer uses the star, heart and circle outline stamps from the stamp set. I followed the same process for each card but just changed the colour order for each shape as I started a new card layer.

3 quick and easy birthday cards using the colour combination: Berry Burst (deep pink), Lost Lagoon (mid tone blue-green) and Pretty Peacock(deep blue-green). With the same ink pad colours underneath and the days to remember stamp set with a calendar stamp and days of the week with some greetings

Firstly, take the heart stamp and the Berry Burst ink pad randomly stamp the hearts over the white card layer. Secondly, stamp with the star stamp and the Pretty Peacock ink pad and randomly stamp over the remaining white layer. Finally take the circle outline stamp and the Lost Lagoon ink pad and place it in the gaps left. Basically, this gives a scattering of each shape over the card layer and creates a pretty card front.

As a result, the pattern fills the card layer I took the ‘happy birthday’ greeting, a strip of back card stock, the classic embossing powders and heat tool. The white embossing powder really pops out against the black cardstock doesn’t it? I cut it down to my preferred size and then fixed to the card layer with stampin’ dimensionals.

Now just repeat for multiple birthday cards

I repeated all of the above for 2 more card layers and then placed my embossed greeting in different parts of the final card. Have you seen how you could make this quick and easy birthday card with another colour combination or another stamp set you already own?
