Welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends blog hop! Our theme is to share a card using new or retiring products. I am using retiring products: the lovely Bright & Beautiful designer series paper (DSP) and the Biggest Wish stampset. The quick thank you card template I am sharing was used to send thank yous for donations received towards my charity firewalk completed in September 2023. We lost my niece 2 days before she turned 8 months old to multiple rhabdoid tumours. Maya was the most amazing little warrior and made us and everyone she met smile. She has her own superstar fund and you can read more about her story here.

What do I need to make these cards?

The good news is you don’t need much at all – coloured and white cardstock, designer series paper (of your choice), a greetings stamp set and ink pads.

Multiple quick thank you cards with a coloured card base and decorative paper top layer. This is topped with a thank you greeting in different colours on each card

How do I make this quick thank you card?

Firstly you need a card base measuring 14.9cm by 21 cm which should be scored on the long side at 10.5cm.

Next choose some designer series paper for your card layer and cut this to 14.4cm by 10cm. You can see from my cards below I chose a spotty version and then a plain strip version. On the plain versions I stamped ‘thanks’ in the same colour as the underlying DSP but stamped off before stamping onto the DSP.

For the greeting label I did a couple of different options again where I stamped the “THANKS” in a lighter shade and then “thanks” in a deeper shade on top. Then the other option was to just stamp “THANKS” in a deep shade to coordinate with the DSP colour. Lastly I die cut the greeting label using my already retired stitched rectangle dies (I just couldn’t part with these last year!). If you don’t have something similar then you could just cut the label to size with your paper trimmer.

I hope you like my quick thank you card design and are already thinking of some papers you could use to make it too. Plus they don’t have to be thank you cards they could be birthday cards!

Please do hop around the rest of the blog to see what the other ladies have created and join us again next month where our theme will be male makes.

Inky hugs, Carrie x
